I was reading a book i lend from Vanessa Koh, written by Low Kay Hwa, " You Are here ".
I truely got touched, and was very engross in reading the novel..
Its was the love story for Zhou Jie lun, And Lara Wu. Yes u may be thinking of a song 'Shan Hu Hai'.It was a duet song by Jay And Lara.. ..
It all started when they was in primary 1... Through years of experience they finally got together during secondary school period.. It lasted untill they will waiting for their 'O' levels exams result. Jie lun left her, because of another girl, named wendy. He then knows he was in the wrong, but however he don't have the courage to approach her..
6 Years has passed.. One day they met up each other on coincidence... Memories started to flashback in both of them, happiness, sorrowful ? He founds that his love for her has never ended. But having a girlfriend currently, made him in difficult position.
Finally one day, Lara was having a very high fever of 42.2, after recovery wendy founds him with Lara strolling near the hospital's park. A decision was left for Jie lun to decide Lara or Wendy. He chose Lara then...
Just as thought that they could have live a life happily ever after, however tragedy falls... Because of Jie lun, she's having phychological illness, known as the Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Precisely, she will use duplicated image of her, so as to escape from the truth that, Jie lun once again is going to leave her ... Only now, then Jie lun realise that it was all his fault that makes her suffering ,as he broke into tears..
Day by Day, Lara turns younger in mind every 2 Weeks... Soon she reached about the age of only 8.. Which was her primary 1... One day, at a very familiarized place(Bird Park) for both of them, he blamed all the fault on Lara, and leaving her behide in tears.. He looked through his phone.., it was all Lara's picture.. He scanned through his mind..., there was all nothing but only Lara..Lara..Lara.. He thought of things that made him truly happy, only Lara's image appeared.. Only now, he realize how deeply is he in love with Lara.
Knowing his decision finally, he went back to find Lara.. Whispering: ' Please wait for me!, Lara.. Whether you are 22 or 2, i will love you.' He shouted all around Bird Park, but he couldn't found her. Finally, he saw Lara on the opposite of the road listening to songs with her Disc Player.Holding a brown soft toy on her hand.. Upon sawing jie lun, she smiled and approached him. Just at the moment of life and deaths, Jie Lun realize a car was approaching Lara, He shouted at the top of his voice' LARA!' , but she couldn't hear.. Finally, the car crashed, as he screamed, the driver screamed, and Lara screamed...
Jie lun ran towards her, holding her tightly.. He was praying so hard that she won't leave him.. In her hand, was holding the brown colored soft toy, that he gave her as birthday present when they was primary 1. He threw it away from the tower, and was lost untill today.. She had found it..
Waiting for so long for her to recovers back to her 22 aged normal self..., and finally a sweet and melodious voice reached him , saying' Where are you.. Deardear?'. As he knows she had turn back to normal self.
She then says, "i cant see you. Where are ... you?"
"i am here " he said.
"You Are Here..." Was the last sentence he ever heard from her...
Where do people take things for granted, untill one day they realize that everything was too late...
